• An understanding of the most common mental health disorders.
• The skills needed to listen to the young person without fear they will be judged.
• The confidence to step in, offer help and support the young person in need, whilst guiding them to the appropriate professional help needed.
• The chance to stop issues from developing into a crisis and ultimately save lives.
