About our First Aid at Work course

Our First Aid at Work course meets the standards required to comply with Health and Safety First Aid Regulations. Safe Hands Training provides all the knowledge needed for learners to have the ability and confidence to provide safe and affective first aid within the workplace.

Our First Aid at Work course is packed full of practical activities and demonstrations alongside the theory to keep learners interacting and engaged.

Safe Hands Training regularly run open courses across Staffordshire and the wider area that you can book yourself or employees on to, or alternatively if you prefer, we can do ‘in- house’ training at your own place of work or a suitable external location anywhere in the country.

Course information

Maximum delegates : 12 people

Duration : 3 days 09-30 – 16.30

Certification valid for : 3 years, (mandatory re-qualification every 3 years by taking the 2 day FAW course)

Prices from £1050.00  inclusive to include In-house training and certification for up to 12 people.

  • Understanding of Health and Safety First Aid Regulations and legislation
  • Understanding the role of the First Aider at work
  • Effectively managing an emergency
  • Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Adult choking
  • Poisoning
  • Asthma
  • Bleeding
  • Head injuries
  • Diabetes (low and high blood sugar)
  • Anaphylactic shock (severe allergic reactions)
  • Stroke
  • Seizures
  • Burns
  • Fainting and unconscious casualties
  • Muscle, joint and bone injuries including spinal injuries
  • Chest pains including angina, heart attack and cardiac arrest
  • Eye injuries
  • Casualty simulations

Safe Hands Training Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed specifically for individuals and workplaces to comply with UK Heath and Safety-First Aid Regulations and Legislation.

Our Emergency First Aid at Work course is packed full of practical activities and demonstrations alongside the theory to keep learners interacting and engaged.

Safe Hands Training regularly run open courses across Staffordshire and the wider area that you can book yourself or employees on to, or alternatively if you prefer, we can do ‘in- house’ training at your own place of work or a suitable external location anywhere in the country.

  • Understanding of Health and Safety First Aid Regulations and legislation
  • Understanding the role of the First Aider at work
  • Effectively managing an emergency
  • Primary assessment, early recognition of a deteriorating patient and casualty care
  • Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Introduction to and safe and effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Bleeding, burns, minor injuries
  • Seizures and shock including anaphylaxis
  • Choking
  • Casualty simulations

 

About our Paediatric First Aid course

Our Paediatric First Aid course in specifically designed in line with the EYFS/Ofstead guidelines and is suitable for nursery nurses, preschools, primary schools, childminders and Au-Pairs or indeed any childcare professional.

Our Paediatric First Aid course is packed full of practical activities and demonstrations alongside the theory to keep learners interacting and engaged.

Safe Hands Training regularly run open courses across Staffordshire and the wider area that you can book yourself or employees on to, or alternatively if you prefer, we can do ‘in- house’ training at your own place of work or a suitable external location anywhere in the country.
